A funny side of Google

Thank goodness I can see the funny side of this one ... I dont know if they were looking for weddings or something else, but hits on my website went up.
After doing some searchs, checking out my rankings for my websites, last night I saw this on Google... after the initial HEART ATTACK and a ' what the ...' But knowing i wasnt offering any willies or knobs in my new packages . I can see what happened .. Im advertising on a swedish website 'The Local' its all news ... so if you follow the link you can see what it was all about.

PDN Top Knot winner 2008

Just received some great news Im a winner in the 'Getting Ready' categories its a shot from a medieval wedding I shot ... PDN TOP KNOT. There are more shots from this wedding on my web site www.ianjohnsonphoto.com under best 15 weddings. This really was one of the coolest weddings I have ever photographed, people ask was it strange ... no not at all it was no more than going to a fancy dress party and saying thats a great outfit ... then three minutes later asking 'How did West Ham get on today'

best line of the weekend

There really were some funnies from the wedding this weekend especially Father Brendan Purcell in the church , however the weekends winner was from Padraic's father , in his speech telling all the guests what a special day Feb 23 in history was , the day they met, the day they engaged, how important the day was from Ireland ... he said for Scotland it was also a special day , for it was the day they cloned Dolly the Sheep , he looked at the plates and said ' so thank goodness we didnt have lamb tonight' I can confirm dad there was no 3 eye sheep in the kitchen.

well he got my attention

Fathers that conduct the service do not normally get mentioned on blogs , however Father Brendan Purcell will he had my attention straight away firstly announcing that syncronised swimming wasn't a sport and then went out to tell a story about the Galloping Cat by Steve Smith. , followed by a lot more funnies. He was brilliant though, priests normally ask photographers to stay out of the way he told he to treat the church like my home. This was the first time i have seen this, he asked everyone in the church to come and join him up to where the service was taking place. What a great idea.

Winter wedding with angels

In the sepia image Tintin and Tess have just met .... the angels on the roof appear to approve of this shot.
Another sort of Destination wedding , well for half the guests .. well more than half. Tintin from Belguim married Tess over the weekend at one of most favorite places to shoot Hasselbacken in Stockholm Sweden, thats where my famous red sofa shot was taken. Hasselbacken set next to Skansen has the most amazing view over Stockholm. .. later this week I will find the best of Hasselbacken.

Here is my Brownie

I was inspired by a fellow photographer showing his 'Brownie' mine is always on view in a my studio. Sadly it wasnt my first camera, it was second. But I did use it travelling through europe on the old 'Interrail card' ... maybe i will use it on my next destination wedding.

BTW my first camera was a christmas gift was I was 7, I dont have it, but remember it very clearly in a box that said 'My First Photography Kit' ... back then I knew I wanted to be a photographer . There is a famous saying show me a boy at 7 I will show you a man at 28. Anyone seen 28up by Michel Apted.
