Caribbean Cruise weddings are getting popular

Few years ago I photographed on a wedding cruise with the Royal Caribbean it really was an amazing experience. Great news for wedding couples looking to get married in a beautiful location without any problems Cruise's now offer a variety of wedding services to help you plan a cruise wedding or a shoreside ceremony. Combine with a romantic cruise honeymoon visiting three or four countries.
Booking a cruise wedding cant be any easier, just contact a ship wedding coordinator they will arrange ceremony, menu, cake, flowers and music.
Many agents say nothing beats the Caribbean and Bahamas as favorite wedding destinations. It’s a lot easier to tie the knot either at sea or in ports around the globe. More cruise lines now offer shipboard wedding packages, amenities and wedding planning services, including legal marriages performed by ships’ captains. On Royal Caribbean the line I travelled with , betrothed couples can exchange vows while climbing the ships’ rock walls or ice skating or even catching the waves on the shipboard surf simulator. The Royal Romance package features an hour wedding ceremony aboard ship or onshore on embarkation day

Its not just the Caribbean, Mexico, and Bermuda european cruises also exist Greek Islands , Santorini , Mykonos , Florence , Rome or Venice.

71 Dodge Charger 500

Facebook had a great post the other day about cars that you have had and driven. My first car I bought in the US was a 71 Dodge Charger 500 I bought on San Vicente in Santa Monica when on a Sunday that whole street was a car sale. I never ever realised that car now is a classic, I will never forget driving that around Sunset Blvd or when it rained and the back end flew all over the place. So inspired I went out and bought one well .. a kids toy one. Let me know if you are having a Dodge Charger 500 at your wedding.

a bit Hollywood wedding ish

At the recent australian destination wedding I did between Kylie and James. A part of mine wedding planning is to introduce myself ask the priest about the service.

I always ask when in the service will the kiss be, normally there are three different moments this could be. This priest gave me the look and said ' ooooh thats a bit Hollywood wedding isnt it ?''they might do that in Los Angeles' I disagreed and said Im sure 99% of the guests here will say they are expecting ' You may kiss the bride' . I told the groom James, he also thought that would be part of the service, this was the reaction he recieved when asking.

A magazine just made a request for cool wedding cake toppers, I remembered this from a wedding in Florence Tuscany I photographed.


I was a little slow on the uptake on this one and wondered why the groom had a carrot as his button hole ... figured it out yet ?

Old fashioned Photo Booths

Again one of the latest trends if you read below is old fashioned photo booths. At a recent wedding my son and I had fun in one of them armed with my D3 and Hugo Boss suit Nick decided on the poses. I have always offered this in my packages, self portrait bureaus, its a great wedding idea, lots of fun and a cool way to have all the guests photographed.

Destination Wedding in Marrakech

Well actually not this wedding was in Constable country in Suffolk. The wedding venue is Yaxley Hall , Karen the bride managed to decorate the reception site with osterich feathers which she managed to buy on ebay. I have had some fantastic meals at wedding receptions, nothing beats the Salmon, so thank you Richard.

Elle at Yaxley Hall Wedding

My daughter Elle wanted to assist me on this wedding, when we did the run through, days earlier. Elle pleaded with me could she carry my camera bags, the reason she just loved Yaxley Hall ' I feel so good here' she said I agreed, not only did she carry my bags I gave her a camera to shoot aswell.Not bad for a 10 year old ! Another wedding photographer in the family?

Gothia cup football or soccer

This week Im taking some days off. I and my son Nick have travelled to Gothenburg Sweden to play some soccer. Gothia Cup is the worlds biggest and best soccer competition this year 33,000 players are here from 66 different lands. Last night was the opening ceremony it was truly impressive in front of 55,000 people there was a fireworks display and even a wedding, the couple had met years earlier playing here. Nick met up with Cameron who are representing Malibu.

The Rascals of Bradford

When I showed this photo to guests someone said ' they look like the Krays' well far from it dont believe everything you see. These boys were the most polite, courteous, friendly,well mannered, extremely proud their parents were getting married. Daniel in the middle gave the bride away, his mum.
On the plane last night flying to Copenhagen for a wedding in Sweden on Saturday, I was working on this photo on the plane, the stewardess's stopped serving food couldnt stop discussing the shot, they loved this wedding photo. So do I.

My daughter Elle who you have met on this blog has told me I must show the red room. The theme for the wedding was red, believe it or not so this room worked perfectly. Elle is right i love this shot too.

I have never been to Peru, Alisha was my first peruvian bride and wow how beautiful she was, I just loved the wedding dress. There were some great moments this was the best, the light burst though the window nd i remember what you were thinking about ...and in a fews years someone else will know what thoughts were in your head at this moment.

A funny side of Google

Thank goodness I can see the funny side of this one ... I dont know if they were looking for weddings or something else, but hits on my website went up.
After doing some searchs, checking out my rankings for my websites, last night I saw this on Google... after the initial HEART ATTACK and a ' what the ...' But knowing i wasnt offering any willies or knobs in my new packages . I can see what happened .. I was completely bowled over by the wedding cake Rory's mum had done the cake the close up photo looks like sculpture, mum wasnt happy with it , the wedding photographer was though. It will certainly be gracing my website and possibly the cover of the coffee table book.
